A Desert Rose By Any Other Name...



...wouldn't taste nearly as good as this!  Dorie Greenspan, who wrote the cookbook, Baking Chez Moi, told Tonia's Kitchen about a delicious treat that's very easy to make, and looks very pretty.  Dorie calls them Desert Roses, and they involve ingredients you might find in a bag of trail mix.  Dorie starts with corn flakes, dried fruits and nuts, and my favorite, melted butter and chocolate!  Using a cookie scoop, she mixes everything into individual clumps and lets them set in the refrigerator.  When they're all done, you have a salty, sweet treat that'll be hard to stop eating.  I dare you to eat just one!
