It's a fast-paced world out-there, and admittedly it's getting harder to make a healthy, delicious breakfast that satisfies. But Patricia Green, who co-authored Grain Power says there's a very easy way to start your day. Patricia told Tonia's Kitchen about The Mason Jar Ancient Grain Breakfast. She takes a 1/4 cup of ancient grain mix and puts it in the bottom of a 500ml mason jar. She then adds 3/4 cup of boiling hot water, seals the jar and refrigerates it overnight. The next morning, shake it all up and voila! You have a delicious, hearty, ready to eat breakfast that's sure to satisfy. Add sweeteners like sugar or maple syrup if you want, and enjoy. Not only is it a great meal, it's also very economical, as you can make several jars for several days all at once!
