What comes to mind when you think of Super Bowl party treats? Wings, nachos, sliders, fries? All good, but here at Tonia's Kitchen, we try to push the envelope and get you thinking about how to do things a little differently! Susanna Hoffman is the co-author of the cookbook Bold. She told Tonia about her American Rarebit appetizer that's made with a bourbon, bacon and cheddar cheese. Susanna says she uses slightly pickled shallots, one slice of bacon, whole wheat bread, only one tablespoon of bourbon (sorry!) and some sweet hot mustard. Place into a saucepan, and heat. Then get ready for a culinary touchdown!
Tonia’s Kitchen, a nationally syndicated radio show, is where food and wine lovers explore, practice and grow.
