Let's take a brief detour from cookies and talk about brownies. Susan Reid, who is the author of the King Arthur Essential Cookie Cookbook told Tonia's Kitchen about a special kind of Christmas brownie she calls "On The Fence" brownies. Susan told Tonia she lays down one layer of brownie batter in a pan, and then a layer of crushed candy canes or York Peppermint Patties. She then puts down another brownie batter layer and bakes it all together. Not only do they taste good and look beautiful, they give a special holiday air to any gathering!
Tonia’s Kitchen, a nationally syndicated radio show, is where food and wine lovers explore, practice and grow. Listeners hear Tonia talk with top chefs, groundbreaking cookbook authors, fellow foodies and experts in the worlds of wine and gastronomy. Aspiring kitchen masters are invited to have a seat at the table in Tonia's Kitchen where they'll learn that, whatever they cook, taste and nutrition go hand-in-hand and they'll be taken beyond everyday ingredients!
