It's a rare occurrence when Hanukkah meets Thanksgiving, but that's what's happening this year. To celebrate the convergence of these two wonderful celebrations, author of Kosher By Design Susie Fishbein says she's making very special pumpkin beignets for desert. Susie tells Tonia that she adds pumpkin puree directly into the batter, which she says is similar to a pancake batter. Susie says it may be a little heavier then your standard beignet, but that's okay. Try dipping the finished product into some hot chocolate. Good stuff!
Tonia’s Kitchen, a nationally syndicated radio show, is where food and wine lovers explore, practice and grow. Listeners hear Tonia talk with top chefs, groundbreaking cookbook authors, fellow foodies and experts in the worlds of wine and gastronomy. Aspiring kitchen masters are invited to have a seat at the table in Tonia's Kitchen where they'll learn that, whatever they cook, taste and nutrition go hand-in-hand and they'll be taken beyond everyday ingredients!
