Nature Valley of course being the nationally known brand for granola bars. And while those bars are tasty, it's very economical, and healthy to make your own. Lisa Lucas and Debrianna Mancini, who wrote the cookbook The Time We Ate Our Feelings, came by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about their recipe for homemade granola, which is bursting with protein. They use oatmeal, sunflower seeds, almonds, pecans, cherries and 2 egg whites for a consistent crunch. Both told Tonia that once you try homemade, you won't be going back to Nature Valley. Instead, you'll making your own valley!
