A Delicious Dessert for The Jewish New Year

With Rosh Hashana beginning at the end of the week, it's time to start thinking about the holiday meal. And while there's a lot of mains to choose from, you might want to consider how to end the meal as well. Chef Judi Leib, who runs the blog Whisk In The Southern, stopped by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about her traditional Apple Jack Cake that's not traditional. She told Tonia her version is almost like a tart tartan or an upside down cake. Judi says the base includes thinly sliced apples in a honey-base, to pay homage to the Jewish tradition of dipping apples in honey to ensure a sweet New Year. It's a delicious way to celebrate!
