A BERRY Good Cornbread

 


And the reason it's BERRY good, is because Dr. Annie Fenn uses blackberries and blueberries to help make this special, brain-healthy cornbread. The reason it's brain-healthy is because is because, Dr. Fenn says, those fruits are on the fruit lines when it comes to preventing Alzheimer's Disease. Dr. Fenn, who wrote the cookbook, The Brain Health Kitchen, stopped by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about some of her brain-friendly recipes, of which this is a special family favorite. Dr. Annie told Tonia that she subs of white, processed flour, for whole grain. The refined sugar is tossed aside for the blueberries and blackberries. It's a great way to enjoy a delicious American staple and know it's good for you!
