A Boozy Cake!

 



And by boozy, we mean rum. To be more specific, peaches tossed in rum. It's an outstanding peach season and to celebrate, Wall Street Journal dessert columnist and cookbook author Aleksandra Crapanzano stopped by Tonia's Kitchen with a simply sumptuous Peach Genoise. This is an ultimate party cake because it's so easy to serve at a party. Aleksandra told Tonia she bases how big the cake layers get by knowing how many people are going to show up to the party. The more people, the more layers. She uses mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, and of course, peaches drunken in rum to create this masterpiece.
