So you need a special, one-of-a-kind dessert that will make your dinner guests clammer for more? Look no further than the humble pear. Chef Steven Petesevsky stopped by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about his Pears with Gin.. It doesn't sound like a dessert, but it is! Steven says he starts with two pears that are halved and cored. Then sprinkle with some gin, agave and lemon zest, along with black pepper. He then places everything in a grill pan and cooks for about 8-10 minutes on a barbecue. The pears will turn out lightly tender, and that's perfect for the next step, rolling them in almonds. The agave will help the almonds stick to the pears. Serve with some vanilla ice cream, and enjoy!
