A Delicious (and healthy) Lemon Scone

We know, we've heard it too; eat more whole grains.  But why? Author Judith Finlayson who wrote the Complete Whole Grains Cookbook told Tonia's Kitchen about her Lemon Poppy Seed Blueberry Scones, which are not only delicious, but very healthy too!  She uses whole wheat pastry and barley flour, and just a little granulated sugar.  They'll melt in your mouth!  Judith told Tonia that by using whole grains, instead of refined flour, you keep both the bran and the germ that commercial refining removes.  In it's stead, you wind up with some loaded with calories, but empty when it comes to nutrients.  This way, you really can have your cake and eat it too!
