LISTEN TO THE PODCASTAhh....the chocolate chip cookie. Is there anything more fantastic than this humble cookie that delighted us on our after-school snack table, or made for a special treat at lunch time. Now let's take the cookie one step further. Eleanor Klivens, who wrote the cookbook, appropriately titled Big Fat Cookies, told Tonia's Kitchen that she has an easy recipe to take that chocolate chip cookie to the next level. Eleanor told Tonia she starts with basic brown sugar chocolate chip cookie dough mixed together with an extra cup of chocolate chips set aside. She takes some of the dough, makes it into a ball and places it on a cookie sheet. Eleanor then places some of the extra chips on top of that, then adds another layer of dough. She repeats that until both the dough and chips are exhausted. It's all baked together and the end result is an ooey, gooey chocolate chip sandwich the most discerning cookie lover will adore!
