So you’ve got the pie, you’ve got the brownies, you’ve got the cookies. What else for your Thanksgiving dessert table? Cookbook author Sally Schneider says let’s try a different dessert to tantalize your table. Quince! So what is quince? Sally told Tonia’s Kitchen that it looks like a yellow apple, but it has to be cooked. Sally told Tonia to peel it like an apple, and section the quince into
8ths. She then simmers them for a half-hour in a mix of white wine, honey and a split vanilla bean. They turn a rosy color and become very tender. Serve them with ice cream or whipped cream! It’s a different type of dessert, but most importantly just as delicious.
