Everyone loves pumpkins. From eating those sweet, delicious pies, to carving one up and saving the seeds for roasting. But just how do you actually make pumpkin? Chef Christina Vaney stopped by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about an easy way to make pumpkin puree. She told Tonia to take a small, 2-3 pound pumpkin (the smaller, the sweeter!). Wash it and cut it into large chunks. Remove the seeds and save them (for roasting later!) and then simply microwave the chunks for 5-10 minutes per pounds. You'll end up with a perfect puree-able pumpkin that's tender and moist. If you're not eating it right now, you can freeze it for up to a week.
