A Salsa For Everyone


Salsa is super!  Don't take my word for it though, walk around any supermarket and see the many varieties available. But about making your own?  David Hollander, who wrote the cookbook, The Tomato Festival, stopped by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about his Rainbow Salsa recipe. He used tomatoes (of course!) then a
half-cup of diced onions that he soaks with a little salt.  David then takes 6 tomatillos that he roasts for 15 minutes and adds garlic cloves and cilantro.  It'll make you forget about the jar!
