A Calamari That's Pure Rhode Island...with a California Twist!
There's no question Calamari is delicious, but one could ask if there's a different way to serve it besides the standard fried version. Celebrated chef, author and TV personality Guy Fieri came by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about an exciting way to serve Calamari-Rhode Island style. Guy told Tonia he takes diced
pepperocinis, red onions and 3 to 4 cloves of crushed garlic that's finely sliced. He sautees that in some white wine and butter, and adds the fried calamari. Then, in a deliciously Californian twist, Guy serves it all together in a sourdough bread bowl. It's a taste treat from the sea that's influenced from both coasts!
