A Mix Of The Sweet, Salty And Sour...From A Salad!



This salad has a spectrum of flavors!  Michael Natkin, who wrote the book Herbavoracious, stopped by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about his recipe for Green Mango Salad. Michael told Tonia it's sweet, sour and salty!  He begins with under-ripe mangoes that are finely cut and dressed with lime juice and red onions.  He adds sesame oil ad sugar for some extra tang.  Michael says it goes especially well with Asian-themed dishes or grilled fish.
