We're talking wines that are fine for Easter on this All-Wine Wednesday. Dan Amatuzzi, who's the beverage director at Eataly, and the author of the book A First Course in Wine stopped by
Tonia's Kitchen to talk about what makes a good wine for the holiday. Dan told Tonia to consider the season, when choosing a good wine for Easter. Since it's spring, and the temperature is warming up , consider lighter wines, like
whites or roseas. You might have the tendency to chill your wine, and that could be a mistake says Dan. He notes the colder wine gets, the more of a chance some of it's flavors may be lost. If you do chill, he recommends no more than a few degrees colder than room temperature. Still, it is your glass of wine, and if you're so inclined to cool it down, Dan says enjoy it frosty if you like!
