Apples and Wine


Another All-Wine Wednesday!  And this time it involves a delicious fruit, the apple, soaked with red wine.  Cookbook author Susan Simonds, who wrote Contorni told Tonia's Kitchen she begins by coring the apples, but not peeling them.  She adds the red wine and bakes it all together until the apples collapse and are charred. Serve it all up with a large wedge of cheese, and enjoy what Susan says is a taste that will amaze you!
