A Lemon Cake That Will Warm You Up





It's time to beat this bitter cold with a cake that will have you thinking of the tropics. Author Randy Evans who wrote The Kitchen Table, told Tonia about his Meyer Lemon Spice Cake, served with Lemon Sherbet.  Randy says the cake itself is fairly simply to make, using standard cake ingredients, and the thing that gives this its zing, is zest from Meyer Lemons.  It really makes this cake pop!  Evans told Tonia's Kitchen he candies the zest to use in the cake.  He also says you can use regular lemons, or even oranges, if you like the taste better!
