A Seasonal, Hearty Pie


During these cold days, comfort food is especially...well comfortable.  Susie Fishbein, who wrote Kosher By Design Cooking Coach told Tonia's Kitchen about a delicious Turkey Shepards Pie. Susie begins with a casserole dish and adds caramelized turkey (both white and dark meat) spices and stock to enhance the
turkey's flavor, then sweet potatoes with a sweet-salty mix that includes both maple syrup and cayenne pepper.  Susie says it's a modern, healthful take on a classic, and Tonia notes that it was a hit with her family!
