Summer Slaw With a Ginger Twist
For your entertaining pleasure, a delicious, Asian-inspired Tuna and slaw dish that is sure to delight. Caprial Pence, who co-authored the cookbook Caprial and John's Kitchen, stopped by Tonia's Kitchen with an idea for Braised Tuna with Ginger Vegetable Rice Noodle Slaw. Caprial told Tonia she starts with cooked (until they're tender) fettuccine-sized rice noodles. She adds fresh vegetables, and combines that with a ginger vinaigrette dressing she creates with salad oil. Caprial then takes some fresh tuna steak and bastes that with a marinade made out of curry paste, soy, lemongrass and chili pepper. When the tuna is fully finished, place it on top of the salad for a delicious, Asian inspired dish that's sure to please.
