...in that it's not "hot," it's frozen! And it comes from a really special place. Serendipity 3 in New York City has a reputation for being a fun, cutting edge restaurant that's not afraid to try new things. This is no exception! Creative Chef Joe Calderon stopped by
Tonia's Kitchen to talk about their

Frozen Hot Chocolate, and how it was really ahead of it's time. Now, of course, you have Starbucks and countless other chains blending fancy, coffee and chocolate based drinks. But Serendipity was doing this back in the 1950s! Joe says the way they make their Frozen Hot Chocolate is still pushing the envelope. He told Tonia it starts with a secret blend of 14 cocoas served frozen, topped with homemade whipped cream and shaved chocolate. It's delicious, and in fact Joe tells people who come by the restaurant to order it as an appetizer! Of course, we can't all get to New York to try this, and now, Serendipity is selling their Frozen Hot Chocolate mix to everyone. Head to their website:
