We travel to Italy for some really great wine. Mark Tucker with Vision Wine and Spirits stopped by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about sparkling Italian Rosea Brut from Bellenda Wines. Mark told Tonia that the Belllenda Winery is located in the northeast part of that country, and is particularly noted for this wine, and another called Prosecco. It's similar to the Rose, but made from a different kind of grape. The two are also related through the carbonation process that puts the sparkle in these sparkling wines! The wines are stored in special tanks for a period of 60 days, during which the carbon dioxide is slowly added. When complete, the wine is a refreshing, light accompaniment to any vino collection, and is a particularly good pairing with goat cheese or salmon!
