...even if that rose is a strawberry. It would be even sweeter if that rose were backed into some sumptuous Strawberry Shortcake! Cookbook author Dorie Greenspan stopped by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about this ultra pleasurable dessert, complete with rose extract! She starts by creating classic shortcake, much like a light biscuit, but then adds the pure rose extract. Combine that with the strawberries and some whipped cream, and it could be the sweetest you may have ever eaten! If the combination of strawberries and rose sounds odd, it shouldn't because the marvelous strawberry is actually an agricultural cousin to the flower. Sounds like the perfect couple to me!
