I know it and you know it, a salad is not the first thing you think of when it comes to something spicy. But cookbook author Dave DeWitt thinks otherwise, and he's out to change your mind. Dave, who wrote the Spicy Food Lovers Bible came by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about his recipe for a Hearts of Palm salad. Dave told Tonia he takes dry mustard, honey, mango cuchilla, which is like a marmalade. He then adds lime juice, orange juice, black pepper and olive oil and pours over Hearts of Palm with honeydew and cantaloupe to offset the spiciness. Bring on the heat!
