You Won't Miss The Beef In This Burger!


Everyone loves a hamburger. Sadly, they aren't the healthiest thing you can eat, until now.  Carolyn Hemming, who wrote the cookbook, Quinoa Revolution, stopped by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about her Red Quinoa burger.  Carolyn told Tonia she starts with Red Quinoa (red, because it helps make the burger look more like beef). She combines that with pecans, mushrooms, oatmeal, cheddar cheese and herbs.  She takes those ingredients, forms them into burger patties and bakes in an oven.  It's delicious, and can even fool the most ardent meat lovers!
