A Heirloom You'll Love To Eat!

It should almost be a crime to eat Heirloom Tomatoes.  They're so beautiful and multi-colored!  But eat them we must, and if we are to given them a proper end, then at the very least it should be as beautiful as the tomato itself. Enter Chef Michael Chiarello, direct from Napa, California.  He came by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about how to use the last of this season's Heirlooms.  Michael suggests a delicious Bruschetta made with slices of the actual tomato. Chef Michael told Tonia this preserves the beauty of the tomatoes as well as making the Bruschetta extra delicious.  Fry the bread and drizzle everything with olive oil for delicious Italian-style appetizer!
