Salad Can Be Spicy Too!


When you think spicy food, salad may not be the first thing that comes to mind.  But Dave DeWitt is out to change your mind.  Dave, who wrote the Spicy Food Lovers Bible stopped by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about his recipe for a Hearts of Palm salad.  Dave told Tonia he takes dry mustard, honey, mango cuchilla,
which is like a marmelade.  He then adds lime juice, orange juice, black pepper and olive oil and pours over Hearts of Palm with honeydew and cataloupe to offset the spiciness.  Bring on the heat!
