Wine Can Be Sustainable, Here's How....


For this edition of All-Wine Wednesday, we talk about the sustainability of wine, and how it's already a very eco-friendly drink!  Peter Merriam from Merriam Wines of Sonoma County, California told Tonia's Kitchen he's been eco-conscious from day one.  Peter says he's an outdoorsman by trade, and that played a big role in his decision to raise grapes in a sustainable manner.  He says they cut back on pesticides in the vineyard, and a special, eco-friendly irrigation system.  Tonia told Peter he was green, before green was a big thing to do!
