Cooking Should Be Fun!
Admittedly, sometimes it's not. But a new cookbook is designed to change that! Katherine Alford with The Food Network and The Cooking Channel stopped by Tonia's Kitchen to discuss their book "Chopped." If that sounds familiar, it's because the title borrows directly from the networks' hit TV show by the same name. Katherine told Tonia the book is all about making cooking easy and fun, using ingredients that are as simple as those in your pantry right now!
If however, you need to stock up a little on your cupboard, Katherine recommends ingredients as simple as pickles, hot sauce, Asian ingredients if that's your cooking style. She says buy items that reflect the kinds of cooking you want to do. They don't have to be targeted though, Katherine told Tonia that there's a recipe in the book for making a great chicken/pork chop sauce that's as simple as using bacon and lemon. Sounds zesty!
