Malbec and Friends


For this edition of All-Wine Wednesday, we talk about Malbec.  Somewhat misunderstood, this oaky, nearly cured flavored vino is poised for a big splash.  Adam Richman with NBC Television's upcoming Food Fighters, stopped by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about why this fine wine is among his favorites.  He told Tonia
that while it strikes a fruity note, Malbecs are not overly sweet, and have a silky texture.  Richman says he's particularly fond of Argentinian Malbecs.  While they're somewhat light in color, Adam told Tonia they are very big on flavor.  He likens the taste to "black pepper, on a jammy raspberry!"
