Pumpkin Chorizo Pizza



Do you love Pepperoni Pizza, but want to try something different?  Tonia's got a special, easy-to-make pizza that should make you want seconds!  Noted food journalist Kristina Vanni told Tonia's Kitchen about Pumpkin Chorizo Pizza.  Kristina starts by blending fresh pumpkin puree that we learned how to make early in the week, with red pepper flakes, garlic, shallots, smoked paprika.  Cook that all together until it has the consistency of pizza sauce, then spread it on to some ready-made pizza crust.  Top it with fontina cheese, chopped sage and thin slices of Spanish Chorizo, and bake it all together for a pie that balances the sweetness of the pumpkin, with the robust flavor of the chorizo.
