Crabcakes - Newport style



Today we have the pleasure of speaking with Chef Bob Bankert, of The Mooring Restaurant in Newport, RI about his delicious crabcakes.  Tonia recently sampled the crabcakes among some other delicious menu items at The Mooring and recommends it as a favorite stop while visiting Newport.

Crab Cake -

1/2 c. Dijon mustard
1 tbsp. horseradish
3 tbsp. Old Bay seasoning

2 c. Mayonnaise
1tbsp. chopped parsley
2 whole eggs
¾ c. corn flour
7# lump crabmeat

Combine all ingredients except for the crab meat and mix well. Fold in crab, being careful to not over mix and break up the lumps.
