A Simple Chicken

But that doesn't mean it's not delicious, or nutritious! Carly Knowles who wrote the new cookbook, The Nutritionist's Kitchen, stopped by Tonia's Kitchen to share her Whole Roasted Chicken with Maple Root Vegetables. She promises it's easy, simply salt and pepper a 4-lb chicken and place on baking sheet. The roast it in a standard oven. Afterward, chop some root vegetables and toss in some maple syrup. Then place those vegetables around the chicken on the same baking sheet, and roast them altogether. You'll find the flavors melt together for a magnificent, comforting chicken dinner.
