Yes, You Can Cook Avocado


You probably haven't thought about cooking avocado, in fact the most you'd probably do is smash it up for guacamole. But Chef Billy with Compass Restaurant Associates says you're missing out. He came by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about grilling avocado. It's extremely simply and it doesn't take long. Billy told Tonia 20 seconds per side, max! He says any longer, and it's going to burn so you might want to practice a little. There's very little prep work here, just a little olive oil drizzle on each side. Billy says serve it up with swordfish or salmon. It's creamy and a little crunchy, and it unlocks a tremendous amount of flavor.
