LISTEN TO THE PODCAST
It's easy to think about things you'd like to grill. There's steak, chicken and fish of course, but let's think a little differently before that 4th of July cookout...different like in grilled fruit! Cookbook author Pam Anderson came by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about fresh, in-season California fruits like peaches, plums and nectarines...and how good they taste with a little char courtesy of the grill! Pam told Tonia there's lot of things you can do, like combine the fruit with cheese and toss with some greens for a fantastic salad. Or you can serve those fruits as a sweet counterpoint side dish to grilled meat. Even better, add some yogurt or honey, and make a special dessert! Tonia gave it a try. She took some nectarines and added a little balsamic vinegar. The verdict you might ask? Thumbs up!
