Fruit...Fresh From the Grill

It's easy to think about things you'd like to grill. There's steak, chicken and fish of course, but let's think a little differently before that Memorial Day cookout...different like in grilled fruit!  Cookbook author Pam Anderson, who wrote Three Many Cooks with her two daughters, came by Tonia's Kitchen to talk about fresh, in-season California fruits like peaches, plums and nectarines...and how good they taste with a little char courtesy of the grill!  Another thing Pam says is great for this upcoming holiday, grilled pineapple. Once that fruit is charred, Pam told Tonia there's lot of things you can do, like combine the fruit with cheese and toss with some greens for a fantastic salad.  Or you can serve those fruits as a sweet counterpoint side dish to grilled meat.  Even better, add some yogurt or honey, and make a special dessert!
