Another unexpected food to grill...
Here at Tonia's Kitchen we like to challenge our aspiring chefs, take them beyond the everyday and get them to become more adventurous in their own kitchen! In that spirit, we proudly present a delicious recipe for grilling leeks. Nicole Negrin, who wrote The Italian Grill, told Tonia it's best if you boil the leeks first until they get soft. Add some olive oil and salt and pepper and put them on the grill. Nicole says when they're done, she makes a special dressing that includes pink peppercorns, shallots, fresh tarragon, some mustard, red wine vinegar and olive oil. Pour on top of the leeks and enjoy!
